Hanham Residents set a Great Example

"On St George's Day I had occasion to drive through St Anne's, Knowle and Brislington and was disgusted - but not surprised - that the flag of England was conspicuous by its absence.

Barton Hill and even St George itself were also virtually flagless.So much for national pride, I thought - at least my car was flying the flag.

And then, sheer surprise and utter delight - Hanham High Street was ablaze with the cross of St George flying from almost every shop and from the Folk Centre.

Obviously this was a planned community effort.

Not all Estate Agents are the Same

East Bristol's leading independent Estate Agent, D W Smith and Co are celebrating the success of a recent customer satisfaction questionnaire.

As members of the OEA (Ombudsman for Estate Agents), the company's clients were independently sent a questionnaire to rate their estate agents service. The questionnaire involved both buyers and sellers and scored them in professionalism, friendliness, knowledge and helpfulness. On a scale of 1 - 10 D W Smith & Co received 9.6 with the Ombudsman's members average being 8.5.

Proprietor, David Smith, said "we are absolutely delighted with the results - satisfaction is paramount. We are very keen to trade on a reputation of a friendly local estate agent. It is even more gratifying to achieve these high results in an independent survey.

Companies which join the Ombudsman for estate agents agree to work to a strict code of practice, giving the customer a better level of service and an independent redress should they have a complaint.
